The first days- The first couple of weeks we will be covering rules and procedures. Don't be surprised if your child is not speaking to you at home about academics. It is crucial to establish procedures and routines first in order to succeed in the content areas.
Conferences- Your child is very important to me. However, if you have information you would like to speak to me about, feel free to call me at school before 8:00 a.m. and after 3:00 p.m. We can schedule an appointment or converse on the phone. Also, I will contact you about any concerns I feel we need to address. Thanks for your understanding.
IPODS/Cell Phones/Toys/Dolls- I know your children may have special items at home that are difficult to leave behind, but NO IPODS/cell phones/toys/dolls of any sort are allowed at school.
Classroom/School Rules- There are five classroom rules that
I believe will help the school year run as smoothly as possible
and ensure that every child has the opportunity to learn in a
safe and supportive environment. These are school wide rules that
will be followed consistently throughout all the grades. The five
rules are as follows:
WE ARE RESPECTFUL
WE USE POLITE AND KIND WORDS.
WE DON'T BULLY, TEASE, OR USE PUT DOWNS.
WE KEEP HANDS, FEET, AND OBJECTS TO OURSELVES.
WE ARE RESPONSIBLE
WE ARRIVE ON TIME WITH OUR
MATERIALS AND POSITIVE ATTITUDES.
WE STAND AND WALK IN STRAIGHT QUIET
LINES WITH OUR HANDS BY OUR SIDES.
Classroom/School Consequences- If a student does not follow the classroom/school
wide rules the consequences are as follows:
First time: Warning
Second time: Five-minute time out
Third time: Ten-minute time out
Fourth time: Parent phone call; up to one hour of in-school
suspension in a buddy classroom
Fifth time: Referral to the principal
Homework Packets- Homework packets will be sent home every Monday and will be due on Friday. Those students that complete the entire homework packet by Friday will be able to participate in "Fun Friday". Fun Friday is what we call the last 20 minutes of the day every Friday in which students who turned in their fully completed homework packets are able to participate in their choice of standards based learning games! Those students who do not fully complete their homework packet by Friday will not participate in Fun Friday. Instead they will participate in "Homework Club" where they will continue to work on completing their homework packet.
Reading Graphs- Your child will be expected to complete a reading graph each week as part of their HW packet. In order to complete the graph your child must read every night! Increasing your child's oral fluency rate is a standard that we emphasize in 3rd grade. Please try and read with your child everyday before bed! READ TO SUCCEED!
*And last, praise your child for their success and hard work. Making your child feel good about themselves will give them incentive to do their best!
Los primeros dÌas- La primera pareja de las semanas nosotros estaremos cubriendo las reglas y los procedimientos. No sea sorprendiÛ si su niÒo no habla con usted en casa acerca de acadÈmico. Es crucial establecer los procedimientos y las rutinas para triunfar primero en las ·reas contentas.
Las conferencias- Su niÒo es muy importante a mÌ. Sin embargo, si usted tiene informaciÛn que usted querrÌa hablar conmigo acerca de, se siente libre llamarme en escuela antes de 8:00 de la maÒana y despuÈs de 3:00 de la tarde. Podemos planificar una cita o conversar en el telÈfono. TambiÈn, yo le contactarÈ acerca de cualquiera concierne yo me siento que necesitamos dirigir. Gracias para su comprensiÛn.
Los telÈfonos celulares/IPODS/Juguetes/MuÒecas- SÈ que sus niÒos pueden tener artÌculos especiales en casa que son difÌciles de salir atr·s, pero ning·n telÈfonos celulares de IPODS/juguetes/muÒecas de cualquier tipo se permiten al colegio.
La aula/escuela Gobierna- Hay cinco reglas de aula que creo ayudar·n
el aÒo escolar corre tan lisamente como posible y asegura
que cada niÒo tiene la oportunidad de aprender en un ambiente
seguro y sostenedor. Estos son la escuelas las reglas anchas que
se seguir·n coherentemente a travÈs de todos los
grados. Las cinco reglas son asÌ:
SOMOS RESPETUOSOS
1. UTILIZAMOS PALABRAS CORTESAS Y AMABLES.
2. NOSOTROS no INTIMIDAMOS, MOLESTAMOS, O UTILIZAMOS DEJO.
3. MANTENEMOS MANOS, los PIES, Y los OBJETOS A NOSOTROS MISMOS.
SOMOS RESPONSABLES
4. LLEGAMOS A TIEMPO CON NUESTRAS MATERIAS Y ACTITUDES POSITIVAS.
5. NOSOTROS nos PARAMOS Y ANDAMOS EN LINEAS RECTAS de CALMA CON
MANOS POR NUESTROS LADOS.
Las Consecuencias de la aula/escuela- Si un estudiante no sigue la aula/escuela
las reglas anchas que las consecuencias son asÌ:
Primero tiempo: La advertencia
Segundo tiempo: Intermedio del cinco-minuto
Tercero tiempo: Intermedio del diez-minuto
Cuarto tiempo: CrÌe la llamada telefÛnica; hasta
una hora de la suspensiÛn de la en-escuela en un aula
de compaÒero
Quinto tiempo: La referencia al director
La Tarea El paquete de tarea va a ser embiado a casa los lunes y debe ser entregado todos los viernes. Los estudiantes que hagan la tarea pueden participar en "Viernes de divercion". "Viernes de divercion" son los ultimos viente minutos cada viernes cuando los estudiantes que hagan la tarea pueden jugar juegos de aprendisaje. Los estudiantes que no hagan la tarea van a participar en "El club de tareas" para terminar su trabajo.
Graphico de leturas Ellos deben terminar de leer el
graphico de letura cada semana. Para completar el graphico ellos
van a leer todas las noches. Encrimentar el nivel de letura de
los alumnus de tercer grado es una de las metas de este grado.
°Por favor trate de leer con su nino antes todos los dias
antes de ir a la cama! °LEER para TRIUNFAR!
